jackie stoelting (1)Jackie Stoelting, Big Break Florida Winner and Sun Mountain Players Advisory Council team member, came out swinging in the opening round of the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic this week carding a one-under 70. One of the many benefits of winning Big Break Florida was an exemption into this Manulife Classic and Jackie was hoping to take full advantage of the opportunity. In a recent story on LPGA.com Jackie said, “The Big Break has opened up a lot of doors for me. It's been a great exposure for my career.” Jackie related that dealing with the added exposure is taking the biggest adjustment. Long able to live in relative anonymity in a town of a little over 15,000, the circumstances changed when she returned home last week to practice for the tournament this week. “I think we went to three different places and every single place someone stopped me and I had no clue who they were. I do come from a small town, so I guess a lot of people watch it,” Stoelting said. “It’s just been a little crazy with people coming up to me and I haven’t quite registered all of it, but it’s been really positive.“ Winning the Big Break brought Jackie many opportunities such as a guaranteed spot in this week’s Manulife Financial LPGA Classic. Stoelting had conditional status on the LPGA this season but has chosen to focus on finishing top-10 on the Symetra Tour, which would guarantee her fully exempt status on the LPGA in 2015. At the writing of this, she is flirting with the cut-line in round two, sitting at +1 for the tourney in a tie at 71 with the projected line at 70th place. On Tour Jackie uses Sun Mountain Series One stand bag in blue ice/pink, RainFlex short sleeve rain jacket, 2nd Layer thermal, ThermalFlex jacket, and travels with our ClubGlider Pro golf travel bag.
